The department of Geography conducted a seed ball program in the macche forest area around Belgaum on the 30th of August 2017. Dr. A. M. Patil and Smt. S. I. Kittali of the geography department along with the students prepared 1000 seed balls of hulagal (pongamai pinnata) and planted it in the forest area.
S. M. Kadolkar, RFO Belagavi taluk, M. B. Kusanal, RFO, Nagargali and subhash Sherkhane, assistant RFO were instrumental in the implementation of the program.
This program will be conducted every year by the department.
