A brief report of the activity           :  Dept. of Economics in association with Social Science Association of the college organised a panel discussion on a very timely, relevant and burning topic “Demonetisation “ on 11^th of January 2017. Dr. Anil B. Kalkundrikar, Principal (Rtd.) Gogte college of Commerce, and former Director, IMER, Belagavi was invited as panellist to put his view forward regarding the theoretical aspects of demonetisation. The other panellists included Shri. I.M. Ramesh retired Regional Manager of SBI to put forth a banker’s view point, where as principal Anand Mense of GSS college, Belagavi and well known trade union leader and social worker as to speak on a common man’s perspective of demonetisation. Prof. S.S. Shinde, head of the dept. of commerce, RPD College, anchored and moderated the panel discussion. A very thought provoking enlightening discussion was followed by a question answer and interactive session.
