A brief report of the activity                           :

The department of Commerce conducted an online National Webinar on 10-07-2021 on “ Ethics in the workplace – The secret to meaningful careers” . Ethics at workplace which boils down to moral philosophy, which in turn influences the decisions made and the behaviours exhibited. It is important to recognize the distinction between what is law and what is ethical. It is possible for a behaviour to technically be legal, while still being considered unethical. Ethical lapses of any kind have the tendency to snowball in a work environment. Once employees see others breaking rules without repurcussions, they may think that its excusable for them to do so as well. These behaviours can have far reaching effect on the work culture of an organisation. Therefore to sensitize the student community about the work place ethics and its role in shaping careers , we had Dr. Rita Rangnekar, Dean, Institution
Building, ICFAI Business School, Mumbai  as the resource person to share her views and answer questions of the student community.

The talk had 794 youtube views and 625 registrations https://youtu.be/s_2p0hx_4_4
