A brief report of the activity :
Marathi Bhasha Din Celebration, Inaugurated by Palakhi Pujan of Varkari Dindi by the hands of Shri R.D. Shanbhag, Chairman SKE Society, Shri Sevantilal Shah, President of SKE Soceity, Twenty Varkari people of village Kinaye and Village Santi Bastvaad were invited. & three sessions were organised on the theme of Marathi language and Culture. Mr. Praveen Bandekar, A well Known Marathi Poet and Novelist of Sawantwadi, Dr. Nandkumaar More on ‘Job Market in the connection with Marathi language speaking and writings skills’ ,Dr. Vinod Gaikwad spoke on the beauty of the Abhangaas of Sant Tukaram, Dr. Gomatesh Patil, From Kolhapur, enlightened on ‘Novel: An important and major type of literature’. Prof. Govind Kajrekar, Sindhudurg, spoke on ‘Loksanskruticha Jaagar ani Lavani nrutya’, followed by intercollegiate competitions on singing Abhangs, Speeches on Novels read by students, Lavani Dance were held. Shri Krushna Shahapurkar, President, Belgaum District Journalists’s Association was the Chief guest and Smt Lata Kittur presided over the Concluding Session.
