A brief Report of the activity : The Department of Geography organised a guest lecture for the students of B.A. third semester on 20th September, 2018. The guest speaker was Shri. Yogesh Kutre Lecturer, Dept. of Geology, GSSc college Belagavi who spoke on the topic ‘Mineral Resources of India’ and highlighted about the important mineral resources and their reserve, production and consumption capacity as well as their dependency ratio I India. He also made an attempt to show, how mineral exploration or extraction and processing can have a large environmental impact. He also interlinked the existing population pressure on resources and method to conserve the resources for sustainable development.
