Guest Lecture By Shri Dileep Kamat on “Relevance of Manu and Basaveshwar Today”

As a part of curriculum students of Sociology study, Social Thinkers of India in their 3 Semester. Therefore it was planned to conduct a guest lecture on comparative study of some of these thinkers. in this respect we at Department of Sociology invited Shri Dileep Kamat a veteran Social activist from Belgaum who has in depth knowledge of the said social thinkers to address students on the theme of social thoughts of Manu and Basaveshwar on Friday 3/08/2018. He comparatively presented the ideologies of both the social thinkers before the audience. And pleaded to students to make a relevant choice while choosing between their philosophy in their life. Thus he explained the application of their philosophical ideas to the students. we could make out form the interaction that we had at the end of the lecture that students were highly benefited from the activity.
