The departments of English and Marathi arranged an interaction with alumnus Shri Avadhut Joshi of 2003 batch. His subjects at the undergraduate level were Opt. Marathi, Opt Hindi and Economics. He began his career as a teacher of Marathi Language in Western Regional Language Centre to non- Marathi speakers In Pune. He is presently working as a senior project manager in CAPITA, a UK based company involved in localisation where manages translation projects.
This interaction aimed to create awareness about translation as a career after graduation with languages. Shri Joshi spoke about the required skill sets and the areas that students could consider for employment. He gave them suggestions to strengthen their language abilities. The session ended with questions from students.
