VISIT TO GEOLOGY MUSEUM

A visit to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Geological museum of the department of Geology at the GSSc College was organized by the Department of Geography for B.A. third semester students on 21st September 2018. The museum has collection of rare fossils and minerals. The Museum boasts of over 1500 specimens collected and donated from across the country and few from other countries. The museum has the variety of Igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks and minerals, corals, plant fossil specimen, various models and photographs of geological processes. Shri. Suraj Mense Lecturer, from the Geology department had an interaction with our students and shared his knowledge about the resource structural models and their importance.
