As per the UGC directions the NCC unit of our college observed the second anniversary of the Surgical Strike carried out by the Indian Army across the Line of Control as ‘Parakram Parv’ on 29 September 2018. Col.Subedar Virdi, Commanding Officer, 26 Kar.BN.NCC., Belagavi, addressed the cadets on the occasion. He briefed about how the Indian Army personnel had on the intervening night of September 28 and 29, 2016, conducted surgical strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to avenge the killing of 19 soldiers in a ghastly terror attack on an Army camp in the Uri town of Jammu and Kashmir. The jawans had crossed over the border in the night and destroyed the terror launchpads of the Pakistan-backed terrorists and eliminated over 40 terrorists.
