The South Konkan Education (SKE) Society a premier organization running a full range of educational institutions, Belagavi inaugurated the gallery of Param Veer Chakra Awardees in the Open Air theatre of RPD & GSS Campus on 4th Sept 2018 at 11 am. The gallery was inaugurated by Brig. Govind Kalawad, YSM, Commandant Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre. Brig. Kalwad, Col. (Retd) R. G Jadhav, Shri R.D.Shanbhag,Chairman, SKE Society, Management members, staff and students paid homage to the gallant young men who laid down their lives for the country. The gallery contains photos of 21 awardees. It also includes the picture of Mrs. Savitri Khanolkar, who designed the insignia of the Param Veer Chakra. The gallery in the centre of the RPD & GSS campus will be a silent reminder to scores of students of the spirit of patriotism and sacrifice for the motherland. The SKE Society intends that the students will be inspired and encouraged to join Indian Army and serve the nation.
