Joshi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A brief report of the activity&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : The department organized a special guest lecture on the topic <strong>\u201cGoods and Service Tax (GST)\u201d <\/strong>Sri. Rajendra Joshi, a practicing chartered accountant, tax consultant was the guest speaker. He delivered a customized lecture suitable for BA and B.Com final year students in order to make them understand the basics of&nbsp; GST. He began his lecture taking a historical of view of indirect taxation in India. He explained the calculation part of GST, the various prevailing slabs, CGST\/SGST, the problems in implementation and the future of GST.
